To get your website to index (list) on Google’s Search, it takes a little more than a push of a button, it requires you to signup to their Google Search Console where you would manage all of your website’s pages and other important indexing factors, whilst also having a Sitemap.xml file which contains the links you wish to index…
Luckily enough you only need to visit their Submit URL Page to get started, once submitted you will need to verify your website via one of their methods.
If you have a WordPress website it’s easy to add the verification code by navigating to; Dashboard – Appearance – Editor – select ‘Header.php’ and place the code straight after the starting <head> code, You can easily remove it afterwards. Another easier way would be to use the free Yoast SEO Plugin which can also authenticate your website.
Once authenticated you can then submit your Sitemap.xml file to index, Google will then attempt to scan the contents of your website over a series of days/weeks.
